Christmas is around the corner and it’s the only time of the year in which one can sit in front of a fake tree and eat candy out of socks. But, what matters the most is who we do it with.
Any occasion can be made joyous with friends and family present. That’s why it’s important to remember them this Christmas and thank them for their support through another cycle around the sun. Now is the time to congratulate them for making it onto Santa’s nice list.
For those of you who think you might be on the naughty list – there’s still plenty of time to either improve or diminish your chances of being in the big guy’s good graces come Christmas morning.
If you hadn’t had the chance to become a better person this year – no worries, as being a really, really good person between now and Christmas is a fast track alternative to the behavioural review system. (Those are the North Pole Government Department of Christmas Affairs rules!)
So, it might be a good time to donate some clothes, help out at a soup kitchen, treat everyone with the same respect you wish to receive, change the toilet paper roll, use your indicator when driving and tip the waiter.
That’s right – a little kindness costs nothing, and it might event get you onto Santa’s nice list. Who wouldn’t want to be on there?
With that being said – may the Christmas season bring only happiness and joy to the Roodepoort communities and their families.
