The SANBS visits Crawford Ruimsig

To meet the needs of patients across the country, the South African National Blood Service requires a minimum of 3 500 blood donations per day.

On Wednesday, October 19, the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) visited Crawford Ruimsig in the hopes of receiving donations from Crawfordians.

Sabreen Limbada, Kristopher Gerke, Aedan Yates, Rinae Manyikane, Nandi Mahlangu, Unathi Mdlalose and Rufaro Chakaipa.

“We certainly delivered, as evidenced by a very successful day with a large turnout. We even had learners who couldn’t donate come out to support and cheer on their Crawfordian peers!” Lindsay van Boven exclaimed.

They were very excited to give back and help such a wonderful and important cause because they knew that one person who donated could save up to three lives.

“We’d like to encourage you, from us to you, to work together to keep our nation’s lifeblood flowing. We would like to thank SANBS for visiting our campus and providing us with the opportunity to donate and save lives!” Lindsay concluded.
