Legal aptitude and education go hand in hand in building better societies.

Seeing the need to save a growing concern, partners of famed property specialists Dykes Van Heerden stepped in to take over Clearview Academy. The Van Staden Road campus needed a bit of a touch up but 2022 has been a year of green shutes that will propel the school into a productive future.

Clearview Academy currently offers pre-primary classes through to grade 10 and 2023 will see the school expand to accept children from 18 months up to grade 11. The new year has brought a new driveway, wi-fi in all classrooms and improved sporting facilities. Investing in the community is part of the ethos of the Dykes Van Heerden consortium and will open their doors to community collaborators, already evident in their provision of facilities for an already successful wrestling club.

Aiming for the very top, Clearview Academy will look to capitalise on the lack of Afrikaans-medium schools in the area, expanding Afrikaans instruction in some classes.

Co-owner and Dykes Van Heerden Director, Peter Dykes, outlines the journey so far and the shared vision, saying, “We inherited a brilliant set of teachers who are dedicated to their learners. We are committed to putting in the time and effort to make this the best school in the West Rand. There is a great spirit here and and immense potential for the future”.
