Past student visits Crawford Ruimsig Campus

Her advice to young people is to always follow their hearts and believe that what is meant for them will find them!

Kattie-Jane Johnson matriculated in 2014, while Crawford was still under Maragon’s leadership. She recently had the opportunity to return to the school after all these years, and it was a nostalgic moment for her to walk the corridors where she first fell in love with numbers and later, accounting.

“The campus is so beautiful and it’s really wonderful to see many of the same teachers still doing what they do best. It just shows what an amazing school it still is,” explained Kattie-Jane.

Kattie-Jane studied BCom Accounting at the University of Pretoria after matriculating at the Ruimsig campus, where her interest in accounting grew into a passion. After five years she has turned her passion into a career as a qualified chartered accountant at one of South Africa’s big four audit firms.

“I like to think that my school helped pave the way for me to end up doing what I enjoy doing every day as an adult. My favourite aspect of my job is interacting with other young professionals aspiring to become chartered accountants and watching them grow on their path to success,” Kattie-Jane added.
