Everyone went nuts at the Late Harvest

The Late Harvest Family Day and Market offered a pet-friendly, open-air space for community members to both showcase their products, arts and crafts, and enjoy a day out in nature.

On Women’s Day Tuesday, August 9 a local pecan nut farm, the Nut & Barrel, hosted a market for the community to come out and have fun.

The market offered many delicacies such as assorted meat products ranging from salami and biltong to Wagyu beef. A variety of cheeses and marmalades were on display next to olives and honey.

If the food didn’t entice you, an array of little craft stalls displayed everything from baby clothes to leather shoes. Dudley van Loggenberg entertained and educated the crowd on various reptiles, giving the crowd an opportunity to hold some of the reptiles he brought along.

S.C.A.R. hosted a few competitions and giveaways throughout the day. The competitions included a dog and owner look-alike competition, Nut & Barrels Pawfressionals and the Cutest Nut contests.

Later in the afternoon Eloff serenaded the crowd before everyone took a final turn around the venue and left with full tummies and sleepy pups in row.
