RUA Drive-In a great success

Every few weeks the donkeys at Rest Ur Ass Donkey Sanctuary welcome community members to watch a film with them.

Cars of all shapes and sizes lined up at Rest Ur Ass Donkey Sanctuary as people from the surrounding area made themselves comfortable in anticipation of a drive-in movie in the company of a drove of donkeys.

Quite a few of the people watched the film from the roofs of their cars. Shrek and Donkey made sure they were entertained.

On Friday, August 5, the donkeys welcomed visitors to the sanctuary with brays and shuffling feet. The visitors stocked up on popcorn, snacks and cold drinks before the movie started.

The film of the evening showcased the most famous donkey of them all in Shrek 4 – a wonderful way to spend a Friday evening with the family. Children got onto car roofs and bundled up in blankets while the setting sun tinted the grassy fields in hues of red and orange.

Paityn and Kylie Cooney and Chloe Webster comfortably lounging on the top of the family van, ready to watch the movie.
