Wilrogate pub hosts annual Salvation Army Run

"“Bikers from all over came and supported it. I cannot do it without the kindness and goodness of the bikers."

On Sunday, May 29 the Syndicate MC West Rand Chapter hosted their Annual Salvation Army Charity Run at the Joker Pub in Wilrogate Shopping Centre.

Attendees brought to the venue their previously loved clothes to donate to those in the care of the Salvation Army.

The Biker Run Route proceeded from the shopping centre at the Corner of Ontdekkers and CR Swart Roads to the Salvation Army Family Mission Centre in Krugersdorp to hand over the collected items.

Thereafter, live music, food and drinks specials at the The Joker Pub & Grill were enjoyed to mark a successful and charitable Sunday.

“I have been doing The Salvation Army run for 19 years, and we collect mostly clothes, blankets and non-perishable foods.

“Bikers from all over came and supported it. I cannot do it without the kindness and goodness of the bikers, and this year’s special big thank you must go to Johan van Eck and his ministry the West Rand Bikers Church,” said the West Rand secretary, Pet Beyer.

The Salvation Army is a Protestant church and an international charitable organisation headquartered in London, England.
