The team continued to search the house and a .303 rifle without a serial number was found on the ceiling in the bathroom next to the trap door. The homeowner said he got it from a friend who said it was a clap gun.

It is alleged that the owner of the house was receiving money from the two alleged drug pushers to conduct their business on the premises.

The information was liaised with members of West Rand K9 Unit, Gauteng PHO OCI Narcotics and the operation was planned.

On the same day the operational team executed the search warrant at the particular house in Florida.

When the main suspect who was the target of the operation came out of his room he saw the police and ran back. They followed him but he had already flushed the crystal meth down the drain of the shower.

His room was searched and dagga, scales, cash and a bank card were found. When he could not explain why the bank card in his possession was not in his name he was arrested.

Florida police station commander Colonel Amos Tsotetsi said that the main house and yard were also searched.

A firearm was found in a plastic bag outside next to the wall, and when the firearm was tested by Jhb West IAC it was found to have been reported stolen at the Florida police.

It was discovered that the complainant was the homeowner, but he denied knowing about the firearm as he reported it stolen when he was living in another house in Florida.

A plastic bag with .303 rifle rounds were found against another wall in the yard, and again the homeowner denied knowing anything about the .303 ammunition.

The team continued to search the house and a .303 rifle without a serial number was found on the ceiling in the bathroom next to the trap door. The homeowner said he got it from a friend who said it was a clap gun.

Florida police confirmed that the homeowner also had a licensed firearm, a Glock 30S .45 pistol with 98 rounds of ammunition inside his safe on the premises.

When he claimed that the 25 rounds of 9mm pistol ammunition that were also found inside the safe were for the firearm that had been stolen, he was also arrested.

The team went to the Florida police to open the cases and the investigation officer called another suspect to come to the station.

When he arrived at the station, he was also arrested for the purchases that were made.
