South African actor and musician, Frank Opperman will be the celebrity judge at the Rest ur Ass Donkey Sanctuary solo singing contest.
The contest forms part of the Market Day that will be held at the donkey sanctuary on Saturday, May 28 from 10:00 till 15:00.
The address is 753 Cypress Road, Zonnehoeve AH Roodepoort in the Honeydew area and the entry fee for adults is R40, R20 per child and senior citizens, while those under three years will enter for free.
Activities on the day include donkey interaction, 70 stalls, face painting, jumping castle, crafts workshops tent and the singing competition for anyone from Grade 8.
The grand prize is a weekend at the fabulous lodge at Schrikkloof Private Nature Reserve, home of The Lions Foundation, as well as a Rest ur Ass Donkey Sanctuary hamper. The value of the prize is R10 000.
