Mrs Universe Africa finalists spend Freedom Day at Dorah’s Ark

According to the organisers it was a day filled with gifts and laughter, while they were striving to give the children constant meaningful support and equip them for their future.

Spending time helping out at local shelters or food banks provides an important service to less fortunate members of the community while giving back and making a difference in your neighborhood.

Freedom Day, April 27 saw the former Miss South Africa Bokang Montjane who is the Director of Mrs. Universe Africa together with her team and the 2022 finalists spend the day at Dora’s Ark soup kitchen and homeless shelter in Roodepoort.

The Mrs. Universe Africa team donated some essentials and played with the children at the home who did not have a family to be with on the day.

Also present on the day was the reigning Mrs. Universe Africa Fikile Mdiniso who was crowned last year, while Palesa Pusoe walked away with the first runner-up title, and Mokganyetsi Mashele was named the second runner-up.

Freedom Day is the commemoration of the first democratic elections held in South Africa on April 27, 1994.
