The run-up to Easter was an exciting time for the learners while a lot of seasonal activities were undertaken on the day.

The competition was held for the learners as a way to provide some Easter festivity in what has been a quiet year for activities.

The response to the challenge was ‘eggs-traordinary’ as learners made beautiful works of art in their attempt to win prizes.

According to the organisers there were some amazing entries from the learners who clearly put a lot of work into crafting their hats.

An Easter bonnet or hat is any new or fancy hat worn by tradition as a Christian head covering on Easter.

It represents the tail end of a tradition of wearing new clothes at Easter in harmony with the renewal of the year, and the promise of spiritual renewal and redemption.
