Honeydew CPF Goodwill Shield sponsorships needed

Any individuals or businesses that would like to get involved and sponsor some of these R300 gift vouchers will be highly appreciated by the Honeydew CPF as in some months they have a group of winners and will deplete the cards rather quickly.

As members of the community might be aware, the Honeydew Community Policing Forum (CPF) awards the Goodwill Shield on a monthly basis to an officer/ officers who performed over and above the call of duty.

With the bragging rights of the shield the Honeydew CPF also rewards the winners with a R300 gift card just as a small token of their appreciation.

“To simplify the whole process we have decided to go with a standard PnP Thankful Card so that the winners can use it for whatever they want to,” said Honeydew CPF PRO Michael Steyn.

Any individuals or businesses that would like to get involved and sponsor some of these R300 gift vouchers will be highly appreciated by the Honeydew CPF as in some months they have a group of winners and will deplete the cards rather quickly.

Residents are encouraged to email Michael at pro@honeydewcpf.org.za or WhatsApp on 072 895 1289.

“We can always arrange to collect the voucher from you. We will also give recognition to the businesses/ individuals should they want it,” said Michael.

The award for the month of January did not go to only one person but to an entire team of officers from Honeydew Police Station.

They were responsible for breakthroughs in two important cases in which arrests were made during January 2022.

The first case was a robbery at a bottle store at Rock Cottage. After leads were followed they managed to arrest three suspects who were linked to the crime.

In the second case, four suspects were arrested after days of observation and following up on leads.

These suspects were involved in a spate of filling station robberies in and around the Honeydew Precinct which stretched over a few weeks.
