Honeydew CPF joins Okae Molao operations

Honeydew CPF patrollers joined the police during weekend operations

Patrollers from the Honeydew CPF assisted the police with a provincial roadblock on Saturday April 2 during Okae Molao operations in Honeydew.

Communications officer for the CPF, Michael Steyn explained that the operation was conducted under the ‘Growing a Safer Gauteng’ hashtag.

“Roadside checks were done on a lot of vehicles to ensure that they had not been stolen. Drivers’ alcohol levels were checked, as was the road worthiness of their vehicles. Searches for proper documentation were conducted to deter illegal immigrants, and many vehicles were searched for weapons and contraband.”

Steyn shared that the successful operation led to numerous arrests. “Together we will take back our neighbourhood. Thanks to all the entities that came together.”
