Roodepoort Police seek assistance after missing man sadly was found deceased

Police investigating case of culpable homicide after possible hit-and-run.

Roodepoort — Roodepoort Police are investigating a culpable homicide case after a suspected hit-and-run incident.

Mathew Dippenaar had been reported missing in mid-February and after a wide search his body was found late in February. “It is suspected that Mr Dippenaar was struck by a motor vehicle on February 1 in the late evening. He was then transported to the hospital from the scene by emergency services where he later succumbed to his injuries,” elaborated Roodepoort Police spokesperson, Captain Juanita Yorke.

The suspected hit-and-run incident is believed to have occurred near the corner of Mouton Road and Ontdekkers Road, on the left-hand side of Mouton Road when approaching Ontdekkers Road. Roodepoort Police are currently investigating a case of culpable homicide, and Captain Yorke is calling on anyone who may have witnessed the accident to please come forward and speak to the investigating officer, detective Warrant Officer Teme on 011 279 6400 or 082 492 3963.
