Lets get physical

The Grade 1s at Crawford Ruimsig started their weekend festivities early on February 4 by dressing up as their classroom mascots. The kiddies stepped out of the classroom to spend the morning outside.

Grade 1 teacher, Jackie Banks said the various groups dressed up as llamas, rhinos, minions, squirrels and bunnies. The groups took turns playing different games that built camaraderie and encouraged team work.

Naturally this was not only the perfect excuse to be outside, but the activities involved the learners and their teachers. Besides, who doesn’t love a good wheelbarrow race?
