The month of love was in full display at the Valentine’s Market on February 6. The market at the Ngwenya Glass Village saw local vendors and crafters keeping with the theme of love.
Decked out in pink and red, the market was a treat for returning and new visitors. Joan Blaettner said they were lucky to have had good weather on the day. “It is very nice and there are a lot of crafts to enjoy. We have been here before and we always have a great time. It is Gisella’s first time coming here; she’s visiting from Germany.”
The market brings a mix of different people together and offers an array of local food, hand-crafted items such as hand bags and shoes, as well as mobile bars and the occasional live music. Many of the vendors can also be found at the village during the week.
