Nightmare on Christiaan de Wet

If you regularly drive on Christiaan de Wet Road you should be painfully familiar with the fact that the traffic lights at the Christiaan de Wet and Hendrik Potgieter Roads intersection have not been working since before Christmas.

Peak hours have become even more frustrating for motorists who are often stuck in traffic for extended periods of time. Julian Kruger, sharing the obvious frustration of so many motorists, said a 15-minute school drop-off trip has turned into an almost hour and a half nightmare. “When you log a call with City Power, they don’t give a reference number. The lengths you have to go to to receive assistance – it is very frustrating. I just want the lights to get fixed.”

City Power was not available for comment.
