The Caxton Bright Sparks are …

It is with great excitement that the Record announced the clever winners of the competition.

Every year Caxton West Rand is eager to spread some festive cheer by compiling a page filled with fun activities to keep the little ones busy for at least a little while.

The Roodepoort Record’s last edition for 2021 was no different when our young readers got to fill out page 15 for a chance to win some exciting prizes. To stand a chance, mom or dad had to snap a pic of their little one working on the activities, and send it to one of our Caxton numbers.

The page included activities such as a word search, a maze, Suduko, and a spot-the-difference picture, among others. It is with great excitement that the Record announced the clever winners of the competition.

They are:
• Theresia Cilliers (11)
• Nathan Schutte (11)
• Tiana Roskin (12)

Upon collecting her prize, Theresia said she enjoyed working on the activities and that the word search had been her favourite.

“I really enjoyed solving the word search puzzle as it requires you to use your brain. I like challenges that encourage you to think,” she said.

For Nathan, it was all about the company that came with the activities.

“I had so much fun completing the activities with my cousins, Jo-Marie and Chanté Loyns. I’ll be sure to tell them that we won the prize together as a team!”

When an elated Tiana received her prize, she also stated that the word search had been her favourite. She is excited to use some of the stationery in the prize packet for her last year of primary school.

The Roodepoort Record team is thrilled to have met some of our younger readers and would like to wish them all the best for the year ahead.
