Check off New Year’s resolutions with the fatherhood run

The fun run aims to address the social issue of absent fathers in the country

Dust off your running shoes and check off those New Year resolutions with the first Fatherhood Run on Saturday January 8 at the Ruimsig Stadium.

Hosted by the Sylvester Mashilo Foundation in partnership with the City of Joburg, the fatherhood New Year run will include distances from 1, 5 and 10 kms.

Bring the entire family for an active day outdoors and enjoy the newness of 2022. The run/walk will raise awareness on the importance of fatherhood as well as addressing the high levels of absent fathers in the country. Tickets are 50.00 and free for children under 16 years old.

The run is set to start at 7:00 for the 5km, 7:15 for the 10km and 8:30 for the 1km. Runners and walkers need only bring a water bottle and cap.
