Rest Ur Ass with a movie night

The movie nights will go towards paying for Grace's surgery

Residents relaxed into the evening with a movie night out at the Rest Ur Ass donkey Sanctuary in Honeydew on December 9. With camp chairs, picnic blankets and very well-behaved evening weather, families and friends got ready to unwind and enjoy the animation movie, The Star.

Lloreen le Roux, who owns the sanctuary with her husband said, “This is a fundraiser to help pay for Grace’s surgery. Grace is one of our recent rescues. The surgery was R56 000 and we have raised most of it. The movie we will be watching is a Christmas movie about the birth of Jesus, but it is from the perspective of the animals. It’s really nice for the children and with Covid, it is really nice for people to get out and be in the fresh air.”
