Here’s how you can support the SPCA

The Roodepoort/ Krugersdorp SPCA is now selling quirky wooden ornaments...

We can come up with a million reasons why we believe this is the best time of the year. But what about cats and dogs? Do they even know it’s Christmas?

I’m sure we’d all like to think they do. They probably don’t understand why we always have ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’ on repeat and don’t really get why we have to go shopping so much. But surely there are some things about the holiday season that they look forward to every year.

Why not add a personalised Christmas ornament to your pet’s list of special treats and toys in support of a good cause?

The Roodepoort/ Krugersdorp SPCA is now selling quirky wooden ornaments with your beloved cat and/ or doggo’s name cut into it. These decorations are sold for R35 each. If you buy three, you will get the fourth for free.

The last orders are to be placed before December 10. All funds raised will be used for some much-needed pet food and equipment.

If you would prefer to support the cause in another way, you can also donate the following, in which the SPCA is in dire need of:
• Grey storm blankets
• Tinned kitten and puppy food
• Cat litter
• Cat and dog toys (NOT sinew treats)
• Dog biscuits
• Brooms
• HTH
• Hose pipes
• Shade netting
• Kiddies sand shells for the dogs to cool off in
• Gifts for the dedicated, hardworking staff

If you would like to know more or place an order, feel free to send a WhatsApp message to 072 034 9300 or contact the SPCA directly on 011 672 0448.
