Nova Pioneer Ruimsig donates to underprivileged children

The school donated over 95 shoeboxes filled with toys, stationery, toiletries, and sweet treats for underprivileged children in the nearby communities.

Caring for underprivileged children and helping them is a noble endeavour. When granted the opportunity, the result will certainly be an effective and long-lasting improvement in their lives.

Once again this year Nova Pioneer Ruimsig partnered with the Santa Shoebox Foundation to put a smile on a child’s face this Christmas.

The school donated over 95 shoeboxes filled with toys, stationery, toiletries, and sweet treats for underprivileged children in the nearby communities.

Nova Pioneer Ruimsig learners gift-wrapped their boxes, filled them with treats, and wrote a letter to the recipients of the boxes.

“Giving is not just about making a donation to those in need, but more about making a difference in someone’s life. At Nova Pioneer Ruimsig we are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the world around us and teaching our learners the value of sharing. We focus on providing a holistic education for our learners that extends beyond the classroom. We strive to teach our learners the values that will make them more socially responsible and live out our Culture Principle of Servant Leadership,” said Nova Pioneer Ruimsig Head Carla Hercules.

According to Carla the school is grateful to parents and staff who all supported the initiative and generously donated many wonderful gifts to fill the shoeboxes.

“I am very proud of our Nova Pioneer Ruimsig community for heeding this call, especially during these difficult times,” said Carla.
