Reservoir levels in Roodepoort stable but low

Water has not been restored in many areas since Rand Water's maintenance from November 15 to 17.

Residents should expect little to no water in some cases as reservoirs in several areas are currently at critical levels. According to Joburg Water, towers that are at critical levels are Constantia and Florida North, while reservoirs that are stable but at low levels are in the Helderkruin and Eagles Nest areas.

Eleanor Mavimbela, communications officer for Joburg Water said their systems continue to improve at a steady rate. “Joburg Water urges customers to continue to reduce consumption in order to prevent further strain on the system. Reduced consumption is assisting with the recovery period.”
