Triple Threat Dojo celebrates three years

"Thank you for a great three years, we are looking forward to many more years to come.”

In the month of November Triple Threat Dojo, a classic kickboxing dojo with a modern touch that was founded and designed by owner and coach Wade Rendall celebrates three years of success.

Triple Threat Dojo, currently based in Ruimsig opened its doors three years ago on top of a garage in Little Falls with just a few students.

Within six months the demand for the training offered at the gym was so high that the decision was taken to move to a bigger venue in Ruimsig.

Since then, the gym has grown into a healthy family-friendly dojo that teaches young and old in the friendly community of Roodepoort.

Before the Covid-19 pandemic halted sporting activities, Triple Threat Dojo produced a South African Kickboxing Champion, and this November they will have two of their fighters attempting to achieve their black belts in kickboxing.

According to Wade, an eight-time South African Kickboxing Champion, several new programmes have been started and they have added new equipment to increase their training capacity.

“With the help of each and every one of our students that have walked through our doors over the past three years we have made a home.

“In a system that combines mind, body and spirit, our dojo continues to teach effective self-defence for all individuals.

“Thank you for a great three years, we are looking forward to many more years to come,” said Wade.

Wade revealed to the Northsider that the dojo has about eight active kickboxing fighters who compete in kickboxing events.

Triple Threat Dojo currently has around 50 loyal clients, and most of them have been with the gym from the beginning and have been loyal throughout the lockdown period.
