Music sessions in the forest

Music lovers were all out at the Forest Sessions music event on Saturday

Nestled in the wooded area at Casalinga Organic Farm, the Forest Sessions were the perfect event for a Saturday afternoon. On October 16, 93.8 Mix FM brought the vibe with live music, food and drinks stalls for residents in the area.

Host of On The Rise with Clive, Clive Chetty said this was the third Forest Sessions they have had and that a lot of the proceeds went towards the Mix FM Foundation. “The artists who perform are absolutely incredible. Although we create opportunities for them, the artists also help us. It is an amazing event that just brings people and communities together. We love it and we’ll do it every couple of months.”

Those in attendance enjoyed performances by Ard Matthews, Wonderboom and Majozi, among others. Natalie Steenkamp said the event was a great excuse to be outside again. “It has been amazing. I actually grew up with one of the members of Wonderboom, and I’ve known him since he was little. The performances are great.”
