Vehicle crashes down embankment on Christiaan de Wet Road

On Tuesday, October 19 the driver of a vehicle travelling from the direction of Clearwater Mall on Christiaan de Wet Road, Roodepoort lost control after driving into a lot of water, skidded off the road and went down an embankment.

According to BCI Security Operations Manager, Dawid Brits, “One of our clients phoned us as the incident happened right behind his property. We responded immediately and went through the green belt to get to the vehicle and see if the driver was responding.

ER24 medics attended to the victim which was later taken to hospital,” said Dawid.

Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) spokesperson, Wayne Minnaar confirmed that one vehicle overturned on Christiaan de Wet Road, and that three occupants were injured. He said the cause of the accident will be investigated.
