Register to have your say on the Zandspruit Transport Master plan

The aim of the transport master plan is to create a compact and well-connected public transport system that puts non-motorised transport first and reduces the use of private cars.

Stakeholders in Zandspruit and surrounding areas are invited to register for the transport master plan by November 22. The Johannesburg Development Agency appointed a consultant to prepare the transport plan for the next 18 months.
Areas included in the study are Cosmo City, Zandspruit, Mogale City, Beyers Naude Drive, Northumberland Avenue and Malibongwe Drive, among other. Stakeholders and community members in those areas can register on https://nma.org.za/register.

People who have registered will be assigned to one of 12 sectors and will subsequently receive an invitation to attend a meeting for that sector. Meetings will be held to introduce the study and determine opinions and concerns about the current transport system.

Public participation is of the utmost importance in developing the master plan because the community can share their challenges, issues and concerns about the transport system. The aim of the transport master plan is to create a compact and well-connected public transport system that puts non-motorised transport first and reduces the use of private cars.
