Residents in Wilgeheuwel can expect a power outage on Wednesday October 6 for planned maintenance work to be done.
According to a statement by City Power, areas that will be affected by the outage are Dragma Street, Krugerrand Road, Zuka Avenue, Royal Close and Tanga Street in Wilgeheuwel and Strubens Valley. “The power interruption is necessary to do essential maintenance work on our network which is part of our programme of constantly striving to provide better service,” said Isaac Mangena, communications officer at City Power.
Maintenance is expected to last the entire day from 8:00 until 16:00. Customers are cautioned to treat their electricity supply points as live because power may be restored any time during the scheduled hours.
