A man driving a white 4×4 crashed at high speed through the perimeter fence, coming to a halt against a tree in a well-manicured flower bed. The incident occurred at the corner of Java and Leerdam Streets just before 15:00 and fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The driver of the vehicle removed himself from the cabin after it came to a rest on its roof, but witnesses from nearby homes documented the empty alcohol bottles in his cabin, hinting at a possible cause. It is unclear how long it took to remove the 4×4 from the family’s yard, but Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department officers were on scene to attend to the incident.
