Everybody loves receiving gifts, and this past week some lucky Record readers received a delicious surprise tucked away in their newspaper.
The 7 500 samples of Futurelife Buddy the Bear chocolate-flavoured cereal did not only put a smile on the faces of the readers who received it, but lifted their spirits as well, ensuring their day was a bit more delicious.
According to Dejané Poil, Head of Retail, Marketing & Innovation at Caxton Local Media, the reason for the free samples is for consumers to try the product, then purchase it the next time they are in the market for this type of cereal.
One of the lucky readers who received this yummy surprise was nine-year-old Keira Swart, who could barely contain her excitement when she saw the sample. “I was so happy to discover this gift in the paper, and could not wait to try the cereal. It was delicious!” she said.
