The King’s School celebrate spring

"Our staff all dressed up in "Floral" and “Summer” gear today, and we were blessed with some rain today too,”

Monday, August 30 saw The King’s Nursery School West Rand welcome the season of spring in style as staff and learners showed up in their most colourful outfits to mark the beginning of a season filled with hope and new beginnings.

Initially, the school’s annual spring day took place on Friday, August 27 when teachers and little ones dressed up in their favourite floral outfits and had plenty of fun by painting T-shirts and enjoying a picnic.

As part of the spring celebrations, the Aftercare Centre had heaps of fun making their own little “Grass Head” pot plants.

They filled their little stocking with potting soil, grass seeds (for hair) stuck on a set of googly eyes, watered it, and gave their “Grass Head” a name.

The learners are now required to water and take good care of their little plant and see how the grass seeds grow.

“What I loved most about celebrating Spring Day was seeing how much joy the little ones had, seeing their smiles while having a picnic and making conversations. Our staff all dressed up in floral and summer gear today, and we were blessed with some rain today too,” said Teacher Danica.
