From humble beginnings to international stardom

Lanfranco secured a call-back from John DeGrazio and Jacqueline Kirkpatrick of Watersound Entertainment in New York.

Good news came early for Battle Rapper, MC and producer Lanfranco Mentoor from Roodepoort when he received his first international interview call-back from the International Modelling and Talent Association (IMTA).

The IMTA virtual live event was held in the United States of America (USA) on July 21 were South African artists were added to the schedule.

Lanfranco secured a call-back from John DeGrazio and Jacqueline Kirkpatrick of Watersound Entertainment in New York.

The artists will still be attending the IMTA in July 2022 since they couldn’t do so in 2021 as a result of Covid-19 restrictions.

Lanfranco’s name is now known amongst the international heavyweights in the entertainment industry, and he revealed to the Northsider/ Record that his next step would be securing a scholarship at the New York Film Academy (NYFA).

Lanfranco who hails from the small town of Queenstown in the Eastern Cape attended a live workshop with Nate Butler from the US and performed for him.

He also had a TV interview in February on a programme called KLOP, has already collaborated on an international single with artists from France and the US, and will be releasing a single soon.
