New home on the cards for saved Yorkie

“We are going to start looking for a home for the Yorkie. We will do proper inspections and make sure that the house is safe and secured, with no other aggressive dogs on the property.”

On Wednesday, July 28 the Northsider paid a visit to the Ruimsig Veterinary Clinic to check on the small chocolate Yorkie that was saved from being sold on the street.

According to owner of BCI Security, Corinda Loots, they thought their attempts to find the owner of the dog yielded results on Saturday, July 24, but the owners of a Yorkie that had been missing since April confirmed that the dog was not theirs.

“We are going to start looking for a home for the Yorkie. We will do proper inspections and make sure that the house is safe and secured, with no other aggressive dogs on the property,” said Corinda.

On Thursday, July 22 Corinda came across a man attempting to sell the small chocolate Yorkie at Makro Strubens Valley and Lifestyle Crossing.

She contacted the police who immediately sent the SPCA, but they were told that the person had the right to sell the dog.

According to Corinda, she made a decision to buy the dog, even though it was against the rules, because she felt he needed to be rescued.
