Community tips hat to CPF

The get-together was to show appreciation to the CPF and security companies that stepped up their patrols in the past week.

The past week has been one of turmoil and uncertainty as protests and looting took over several parts of the country. What remained unshaken, however, were the courage and determination of Community Policing Forum members, who buckled down against lawlessness to protect residents.

In many communities members of the CPF upped their patrols to ensure that properties and businesses remained untouched and that residents could feel a little safer in their homes. On Saturday, July 17, local residents got together to show their appreciation to the brave men and women in the CPF and private security companies. The get-together was the community’s way of tipping its hat to the people who voluntarily put their lives on the line to keep their communities safe from criminal activity.
