Woman tied up during armed robbery

Nine intruders tied up a women on a plot on Larsens Road and stole cellphones.

Nine armed intruders entered a property on Larsens Road in Muldersdrift on June 15. Cowboy Ngonya, who lives on the property, said the thugs went to different houses on the plot and stole cellphones and chargers.

“There were nine of them and three had firearms. In one house, they used the phone charger to tie up the woman, but they didn’t injure anyone. They took about five cellphones,” Ngonya explained.

He said the case was reported to Muldersdrift Police. Attempting to get comment from the police, the Northsider was told that the officers who worked on Tuesday when the incident occurred were on leave.
