A vehicle was flagged in the Roodepoort area that matched the description of a car linked to numerous criminal activities.
Johan Pretorius from Fidelity ADT’s Special Intervention Unit said the silver Kia was flagged on the licence plate reader cameras, and they responded. “We were notified of the vehicle and its involvement in numerous crimes in Moffat View”.
He added that the driver was subsequently taken in as investigations are being conducted by the police and the West Rand Flying Squad. The driver of the vehicle was allegedly attempting to sell the car to a local dealership.
