The Women in Business NGO recently held an event at Hole in One in Ruimsig to uplift and create a network of women-led businesses. Held on 27 May, the event brought together female entrepreneurs from different industries such as catering, logistics, and cleaning services.
Evangeline Solomons, organiser for Women In Business said the events are a great way to assist new entrepreneurs to become established. “We assist in creating platforms to get them recognised and help them on the ground with clients. It is a very diverse team with a mix of women that collaborate and assist each other,” she explained.
Evangeline said the objective is to support women, network and reach out to new business. The third event included 22 women in numerous industries as well as keynote speakers to motivate the upcoming businesses. The NGO aims to expand and differentiate itself among competitors and larger industries.
“These women have built sophistication, elegance, simplicity and equanimity. Their businesses will further reach the community to engage and be utilised. We are tired of seeing the same faces in business and it is time we uplift the upcoming women in business,” she said.
