City Power has sent out a notice to residents of Wards 70, 71, 83, 84, and 85 informing them of a planned power interruption that has been scheduled for Saturday, 29 May.
The interruption will be in effect from 10pm until 4am the following morning (30 May) and will affect the following areas:

• Breaunanda Ext 2
• Carenvale
• Constantia Kloof and extensions
• Discovery Ext 6, 7, 9, 11, 12 and 13
• Florida Ext 8
• Florida Park Ext 3
• Georginia
• Helderkruin and extensions
• Honey Hill
• Horison and Ext 1
• Horison Park
• Horizon View
• Kloofendal and extensions
• Ontdekkerspark and Ext 1
• Princess AH
• Princess Ext 12, 15, 23, 26, 32, 33, 34, and 36
• Roodekrans and extensions
• Roodepoort North
• Strubens Valley Ext 12
• Weltevredenpark Ext 11 and 12
• Wilro Park and extensions
“The power interruption is necessary to do essential maintenance work on our network which is part of our programme of constantly striving to provide a better service,” read the City Power statement.
The power could return at any point during the day, so all supply points are to be treated as live at all times. City Power would also like to remind residents that this planned maintenance is subject to cancellation in the event of load-shedding on the same day.
