Gateway School’s to host a fundraiser golf day

Funds raised from the charity event will go towards upgrading the school's playground equipment.

The Gateway School is a school for children with special educational needs and is situated in Ruimsig. The exciting news is that on Friday, 7 May at 11.30am the school will be hosting a Golf Day at Krugersdorp Golf Club. The main aim of this event is to raise funds for upgrading the playgrounds and equipment.

Community members and businesses are encouraged to get involved in this worthy cause. Spokesperson of the Fundraising Office, Debbie Pickett, said that approximately half of the holes had already been sponsored by the local community. She said the school would greatly appreciate if all the holes for the day could be sponsored, adding that if a company wished to contribute towards sponsoring a hole, that company/ business would then have the right to set up advertising materials such as gazebos and flags at that hole. Business cards could also be distributed.

The Gateway School is grateful for the interest already shown in this event, and they trust that the day will be an enjoyable and successful one for everyone.
