Florida Albion invites community to a day of fun and football

Football festival at Trezona Park is aimed at bringing the club back to the community

The Florida and greater West Rand communities are invited to enjoy a football-flavoured feast at Trezona Park on Saturday, 10 April.

From 9am until 2pm fans will be able to bask in the vast expanse of the grand old facility and sample some of the coaching and playing talent that will be on offer this coming season. The fun-filled football festival will aim to remind the Florida community that the heartbeat of football in the area, which has been pumping for over 80 years, is still as strong as ever. Concerns over the coronavirus are still present, so there will be full Covid-19 compliance.

Teams from all age groups will take part in multiple games throughout the morning while spectators will be able to enjoy a host of food and beverage stalls wrapped up in an accompaniment of musical vibes. Florida Albion Football Club management and their coaches will be on hand to explain the club’s vision, and elaborate on their ideas around grass-roots football development, tactical development in football, life skills development and football conditioning.
