Multiple people injured in morning collision

Multiple patients had to be rushed to hospital this morning, Wednesday, 24 March following an accident in the Honeydew area.
The EMER-G-MED EMS fleet responded to the scene at the Dolfyn Street and Christiaan de Wet Road intersection near Eagle Canyon where a taxi had collided with a light motor vehicle.
According to Adrian Wilson, the paramedic on the scene, eight passengers from the taxi were injured and one from the Audi SUV, which had ploughed into a traffic light.
“The patient in the light motor vehicle was transported to Life Wilgeheuwel Hospital with a possible fractured arm, while EMER-G-MED EMS and government ambulances transported the injured taxi passengers to various government hospitals,” Adrian explained.
