Hopeful Miss Teen 2021 finalist Dominique Dos Ramos is not only passionate about strutting her stuff on the ramp, but also walking the extra mile for others less resourceful.
While she keeps her fingers crossed as she eagerly waits for the crowning of Miss Teen 2021, the young model has kept herself busy by embarking on a new project that aims to shape aspirant models into the crème de la crème of the craft.
The Grade 12 Monument High School learner has started AnaQuin Finishing, Modelling and Pageant Academy in Monument, Krugersdorp.
At this academy, Dominique said she would be offering the classes to the youth to bring them close to realising their modelling or performing-arts dreams.
“I feel that the youth is missing out on the finer things taught in life, and my passion is to build their self-esteem so they can become confident people who are ready to take on the world. My classes include attitude and etiquette building; deportment for beginners; professional and practical ramp work; emotional preparation for competitions; pageantry and the key to the crown; time management and priorities; speech ability; and spokes modelling among a host of my services,” she explained.
She officially opened her academy on 26 February, and had Ashleigh Teen, the Miss Teen International 2019 and Grade 12 learner at The King’s School West Rand as a guest speaker.
Besides Dominique’s calling for modelling, she also has a special place in her heart for animals. In her quest to support the Roodepoort/ Krugersdorp SPCA, she has once again appealed to the public to play their role in providing the essential items needed at the animal rescue shelter.
“Should you wish to donate to the SPCA, the following are needed urgently: blankets, dog food, cat food, newspapers, carrots, and apples for Valentino the donkey,” she appealed.
