In November 2019, the City of Johannesburg (CoJ) and the Johannesburg Social Housing Company (JOSHCO) excitedly launched the construction of the first social housing in Princess. The development includes the construction of 333 different types of unit sizes and related project infrastructure.
JOSCHO is inviting local SMMEs to apply for sub-contractor work on the project. When the applications are considered, SMMEs from Ward 71 will be given priority, and if the posts cannot be filled from these applications, SMME applications from surrounding wards may be considered.
A tender box titled ‘JOSHCO Princess Plots Project’ will be placed next to the security at the Region C Civic Centre, 100 Christiaan de Wet Road, Florida Park. Applications can be dropped off at this box between 8am and 4pm on weekdays. All applications must be in this box before the deadline at 11.30am on Friday, 12 March.
Detailed documents including Contractors Work Packages (CWPs), required trades of work, application forms, administrative documents required, as well as technical requirements to be met in order to qualify for work opportunities can be obtained from the JOSHCO site, at 6 Harry Road in Princess (opposite the Princess Clinic).
