Lethabo told Northsider that they donated about 160 sanitary towels to an overjoyed crowd of learners.

Seventeen-year-old philanthropist Lethabo Mofokane continued her quest to preserve the dignity of young school-going girls through her pads drive.

The youngster from Strubens Valley and her team, under the Mpho Ya Lethabo Foundation, featured on Kaya FM’s #KayaCares initiative on Thursday, 4 March, where they had the opportunity not only to be interviewed but reach out to the learners of Isipho Primary School in Dlamini 2, Soweto by donating sanitary towels.

Lethabo told Northsider that they donated about 160 sanitary towels to an overjoyed crowd of learners.

The idea behind this sanitary drive, according to this caring teen, is to promote good menstrual health and hygiene management among young women.

The recent Northsider front-pager again appealed to the community to support her precious cause as the need remains prevalent across schools in the province.
