Trinity little ones give back

For the first OPD in 2021 (January), the learners collected necessities for Cotlands, a non-profit organisation that offers help and provide solutions to real community problems for mothers and babies.

The little ones from Trinityhouse Little Falls continue to be kind even in tough economic times.
Every month, the pre-primary school hosts an Other People’s Day (OPD) where the little ones are educated on why and to whom they are giving back in the community.

For the first OPD in 2021 (January), the learners collected necessities for Cotlands, a non-profit organisation that offers help and provide solutions to real community problems for mothers and babies.

Chloe van Niekerk was the school’s favourite superhero.

The school collected nappies, baby formula, baby products, food supplies, toiletries and toys amounting to R18 500 for this organisation. The donations came from the school’s amazing and kind-hearted families.

On donation days, the learners got to dress up according to the theme ‘my favourite movie character’.

Ben McCarthy, the school’s executive head said, “We are immensely proud of our school and the parents for making our monthly OPD days such a success, and for donating so much to these organisations in our community”.
