The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in City of Johannesburg, Region C, stood at 19 870 according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown. A total of 19 254 people have recovered so far. There has been 338 Covid-19 related deaths. This brings the total number of active cases in the area to 278.

Rand West City and Merafong City, and Mogale City which forms part of the West Rand District, have had 6 659, 4 533 and 12 064 cases respectively. Rand West City, Merafong City and Mogale City have seen 6 310, 4 295 and 11 480 recoveries respectively.
The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 398 005 with 381 849 recoveries and 9 144 deaths.
