Tshego’s murder trial set for next week

Malephane is currently behind bars and facing charges of the premeditated murder of Tshegofatso Pule.

Following the failed start to the trial of murder accused Muzikayise Malephane in the South Gauteng High Court last month, his matter returns to court on Friday, 19 February.

The hearing on 22 January was postponed abruptly after the Defence managed to convince the State to halt the matter due to shortcomings that were caused by Covid-19 during the December holidays.

Judge Ratha Mokgoatlheng, who granted the postponement, was dissatisfied by this appeal as the postponement fuelled the negative picture painted of judges in general, whom he said were being accused of siding with the State.

Malephane is currently behind bars and facing charges of the premeditated murder of Tshegofatso Pule.

On 5 June 2020, the eight-month pregnant woman was found hanging from a tree in Durban Deep, Roodepoort after having gone missing.
This is a developing story.
