How to convince your friends to attend your birthday on Christmas

Create an amazing poster for it and hype it

To be born on Christmas brings so much attention to the parents as well as the newborn. The couple would even feature on television and in newspapers.

However, as the child grows up, he or she soon realises that it isn’t that joyful because of the limitation of hosting a bash as fewer friends are able to avail themselves on 25 December.

But if you are so keen on hosting one, do so by following this easy guide to have your friends cancel everything to be at your party.

1. Plan your birthday in advance

I know there’s very little time to do anything during the December holidays but if you dedicate the months that fall before to plan your bash, it would help tremendously. E.g. prepare your guest list, and decide on the venue, food and drinks to begin with.

2. Create an amazing poster for it and hype it

Sometimes a well-decorated piece of paper and some good few words are what get people interested in something. Do this by sending out the invites via social platforms and follow it up with calls to promote your party.

3. Do not disappoint your crowd

Prepare, prepare, prepare – make sure everything is on point on the day of the party. Find out who’s coming and arrange accordingly. Make sure you play the type of music that will cater for all, and make sure food and drinks do not run out during the course of your party.

4. Create memories

The best way to create memories is by taking good photos and videos of the event. Find someone suitable for this job. Create a collage and drop it on your social media timeline to make those who did not attend jealous and wish to be around the following year.

Thank me later …
