Join campaign to feed families this festive season

Areas Buti Green is hoping to touch comprise informal settlements in Honeydew, Kya Sands, Cosmo City, Diepsloot and Lion Park.

The festive season may not be as joyful and memorable for some families due to the hardship that they might have endured amidst the Covid-19 lockdown.
To pick up the pieces for these families is the mascot, Buti Green, working with the Green Development Foundation, a non-profit company, looking to reduce hunger by means of the FURA SMS campaign.

“My name is Buti Green, and all I ever wanted was to be a Superhero. I am raising money to feed 70 500 families in Johannesburg North that currently have no jobs because of the repercussions of Covid-19 lockdown. The situation in these communities is extremely desperate and I really hope that you can help me to reach as many people as possible so that 70 500 families don’t go to bed hungry this festive season,” the active mascot appealed.
Areas Buti Green is hoping to touch comprise informal settlements in Honeydew, Kya Sands, Cosmo City, Diepsloot and Lion Park, just to mention a few.

Three easy ways to help, include SMSing FURA to 48991 to donate R10 towards vegetable seedling starter packs (nutria-buckets) as well as basic vegetable production training; donating old and unwanted shoes to 23 Monument Road in Kempton Park which are turned into plant pots; or purchasing the hand-crafted natural organic skin care range which forms part of the fundraising initiative at their stalls.
