Help Child Welfare make a child’s Christmas special

They have identified 300 children to whom they will be giving the parcel

The Roodepoort branch of Child Welfare South Africa (CWSA) has started collecting items for the various Christmas presents they will be handing out to children in the community.

The non-profit organisation does exceptional work rescuing children and helping them through difficult times while keeping them safe. While food parcels, clothes and toiletries are donations needed year-round, the organisation is asking for help with the Christmas parcels.

They have identified 300 children to whom they will be giving the parcels, and they need help with the following items:

For the 98 children aged between six and 12 years old, the gift packs will consist of:
• Puzzles
• School stationery
• Colouring books
• Sweets
• Toothbrush and toothpaste
• Soap
• A face cloth

For the children aged 13 years and older:
• A journal or a cap
• School stationery
• Sweets
• Soap
• Face cloth
• Toothbrush and toothpaste

The other age groups they need gifts for are children aged between zero and five years old.

If anyone is able to help the organisation show children that Covid-19 can’t ruin their Christmas, call CWSA on 073 260 4003 or drop off donations at 45 Du Toit Street, Discovery.
